INDIA – AN AWAKENING
A
nation forged by the mettle of countless selfless
warriors; fortified by the foresighted ratiocination of reformists that helped
evolve religion and society; nurtured by the compassionate geniality of outlook
so as to harmonize within myriad perspectives, mindsets, and ideologies; resurrected
by the sacrifice of innumerable sons and daughters of the soil, those that attained
martyrdom by merrily bearing the brunt of bicentennial genocides and unspeakable
atrocities, unleashed by erstwhile colonialist powers; unified as a singular
entity by the sheer resilience of lionhearted courage infused within the Kings
blessed by providence, will endure tribulations yet prevail as the truth. 
And by imbuing an essence of ‘Vasudeva
Kutumbakam’, implying oneness of all humanity, the effulgence of India’s
radiance shall permeate the darkest corners of not just the planet we inhabit,
but indeed, the minds of its inhabitants. Come what may, the eminence of India
will reverberate throughout the ten directions and dimensions of Creation. 
Let’s vow to rise above the triviality of polarizing
politics and foster tolerance towards opinions in diagonal contradiction to
ours. Let’s pledge to give up self-serving,
egotistical existence and inculcate a sense of altruism, not only in words but
deeds. Let’s promise to revive
empathy in our hearts to lend a hand of succour, for the agony and suffering of
even anonymous strangers. Let’s break the mundane barriers of religious
observances to coexist as humans, so passionately intended by the Almighty. Let’s
dissipate the obscuring murkiness of the diabolic world of fanaticism, which originates
from the extremism of rationale and reasoning, to thereby dawn an era of
tranquility, peace, and contentment. Let’s renounce defunct belief
systems encapsulating obsolete tenets of folklore, often forming the reason for
prejudices, biases, and narrow-mindedness, eventually becoming the genesis for
crimes of hate.
Aspire to fight the fiendish designs and malicious
intentions of the neighbours to our West and North. Confront the malice of
enmity and animosity that afflicts communities to this day. Raise your voice against
disparities and discrepancies, be it of subsisting for a livelihood or in the
enforcement of law or in the deliverance of justice for people across the
strata of society. Combat the venality of corruption, which for decades is decaying
the established system, from the roots. Wage a war, to end the seven decadal reign
of poverty. Unify and amalgamate ideas, ideals, and principals to eliminate all
things rudimentary and archaic.
But know that retribution is not even an
option in the civilized world. Since violence for revenge or to avenge, merely leaves
everyone maimed and mutilated. Only contemplation shall beget introspection. Only
by inner musing emerges kindness. Only kindness kindles forgiveness. Only
forgiveness precipitates the benevolence of love. Only from the
unconditionality of love sprouts trust. Trust triggers faith. And only those
that have the utmost faith in the Supreme Godhead will foster knowledge of
awareness, to whereby dawn erudition.
Transcend religion and its primitive traditions,
for the greater good. Certainly, by going beyond religion, we shall manifest into
reality, the sole objective of human existence – Moksha or Salvation.
So this Independence day, awaken the latent
consciousness, by way of emancipating it from the shackles of preconceived
notions and the predisposition of our relative hypothesis. Bear in mind, the
concept of ‘Akhand Bharat’ or Unified India, a dream cherished and actuated by
the peerless Mauryan Emperor Ashoka is still treasured by the immortal
brave-hearts in the Age of Kali, whom the Guru-energies of the Universe have graced by their visitations.
